NAWINIA will deliver the goods faster

Traffic on the reconstructed section of highway has opened in the Ieningrad region.
The reconstructed section of highway A-181 "Scandinavia" (44 – 52 km) is located on the border of St. Petersburg and Leningrad region. The capacity of the upgraded road is 80 thousand cars per day. Due to the elimination of the "bottleneck" in the region of the railway crossing and the highway abutment to the West Speed Diameter the travel speed will increase by 20 km/h. It is reported by the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation.

‘The news about opening of the reconstructed section of highway ‘Scandinavia’ has been received by the customers very positively. There have always been big traffic jams on this road section in both directions. Single path was not able to cope with the freight flows because a huge number of wagons run between Finland and Russia. Today the travel time will take 6-8 hours instead of 12-24 as it was previously. At present our company can guarantee more stringent delivery times of goods to our customers’ - comments news about the opening of the road section Maria Lazareva, NAWINIA head office in St. Petersburg.

A-181 ‘Scandinavia’ is one of the three roads in the territory of the Leningrad region, which carry out road transport links between Northwest Russia and the Scandinavian countries. The route connects St. Petersburg and Vyborg stretching to the border with Finland (multilateral automobile checkpoint on the Russian-Finnish border ‘Torfyanovka’). Large-scale reconstruction of ‘Scandinavia’ began in 2015. Highway will be matched to the highest technical categories all along the route. Track will be extended from two to six lanes then to four lanes for transit transport from Vsevolozhsk district boundaries to the start point of Vyborg bypass.
